   Task 1.1 Coordination of scientific and technical activities and the administrative and financial management of the project.

   Task 1.2 Establishment of scientific contacts with the library collections, in which manuscripts related to the project are preserved: 

-        Bulgaria: Cyril and Methodius National Library - Sofia, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences – Sofia, Ivan Vazov National Library - Plovdiv; 

-        Serbia: National Library of Serbia – Belgrade, Serbian Patriarchate Library – Belgrade, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Art Archives – Belgrade, Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church – Belgrade, Matica Srpska – Novi Sad; 

-        Mount Athos: libraries of the monasteries of Zograf, Hilandar, St. Panteleimon, the Great Lavra; 

-        Russia: State Historical Museum – Moscow, Russian State Library – Moscow, National Library of Russia – Saint Petersburg; 

-        Vatican: Vatican Apostolic Library, etc.

   Task 1.3 Creation of effective models to be used for the research in the field of Slavic digital palaeography. 


WP 2 – CREATION OF THE NEW SCIENTIFIC MODELS FOR THE IDENTIFICATION OF MEDIEVAL SLAVIC HANDWRITINGS

   Task 2.1 Collection in a single database of specialized scientific literature.

   Task 2.2 Scientific discussion with Slavic, Greek and Latin palaeography specialists.

   Task 2.3 Research, construction and application of new models and tools for the analysis, understanding and identification of medieval Slavic writing.

   Task 2.4 Organization of a scientific forum at the end of the project. The final results of the conference will be presented through specific lectures, organized in universities in Bulgaria and abroad.

   Task 2.5 Collection of scientific reports from the various conferencesю


WP 3  ARCHAEOGRAPHIC STUDY OF THE ALREADY PUBLISHED MATERIALS

   Task 3.1 Archaeographic study of the manuscripts and compilation of a list of already recognized by research South Slavic writers from the XIV century.

   Task 3.2 Research for South Slavic manuscripts from the XIV century in all existing paper and online catalogues of manuscripts and the compilation of an online list of these manuscripts

   Task 3.3 Integration to the list of writers with material from the catalogues.


WP 4 – WORK WITH MANUSCRIPTS FROM BOOKSTORES

   Task 4.1 If possible, de visu inspection in bookstores in order to verify the data extracted from the catalogues.

   Task 4.2 Selection of illustrative material from the manuscript heritage in order to plan the photo shooting.

   Task 4.3 Shooting or ordering photos in order to upload them to an online database.

   Task 4.4 - Development of information materials for the project and the creation of a project website, presenting its main goals, tasks, participants, upcoming events, workshops, conferences, public reports, documents, etc. 


WP 5 – COPYISTS AND SCRIPTORIA

   Task 5.1 Identification and study of the written features of each known (or unknown by name) writer in comparison with other copyists. 

   Task 5.2 Study of personality and creative activity of the identified copyists

   Task 5.3 Study of the scriptoria, in which South Slavic writers worked.

   Task 5.4 - Preparation and exposition of a photographic and documentary exhibition in Sofia and other cities, dedicated to the writers of the XIV century. 

   Task 5.5 Organization of Summer School on Slavic palaeography.

   Task 5.6 - Design and creation of an interactive online map of the scriptoria of the Balkans from the XIV century (in Bulgarian and English), with a photo of the monastery (if possible), a list of manuscripts that were written there and a link to a database. 


WP 6 – DESIGN AND CREATION OF MODELS, TOOLS AND INSTRUMENTS FOR STORAGE, RESEARCH AND ACCESS TO DIGITAL OBJECTS AND METADATA FOR MEDIEVAL SLAVIC HANDWRITING

   Task 6.2 Modelling and creation of technological components for the storage of digitized medieval Slavic handwritings and the metadata for them.

   Task 6.3 Creation of a concept and technological solution of complex specialized software for digital web access, extraction and curation for medieval Slavic handwriting and metadata for them.
